Nestor El Maestro appointed as manager of Manisa FK

Shortly after his departure from Anorthosis on Monday, October 19, 2026, 43-year-old manager Nestor El Maestro has secured a new position with the Turkish second-division club Manisa FK. The appointment comes following his dismissal from the Cypriot club, which occurred after a defeat to Omonia 29M.

El Maestro, who has previous coaching experience in Turkey from his time at Goztepe during the 2021-22 season, is set to replace former manager Ahmet Pektas. While earlier reports indicated the sides were in negotiations, subsequent updates confirm that he has accepted the role and will lead the team in his debut match against Mardin, which is scheduled for the upcoming Monday.
