Anastasia Anthousi endorses George Pamboridis for DISY nomination
Anastasia Anthousi, former Deputy Minister of Social Welfare and member of the DISY Government Work Monitoring Council, has officially declared her support for George Pamboridis in the upcoming internal party elections. Anthousi described Pamboridis as a candidate capable of transforming his vision into concrete actions, arguing that he represents a proposal for victory and renewal for the Democratic Rally (DISY) party in the context of upcoming electoral processes.
Anthousi highlighted that her endorsement aims to foster party unity, emphasizing that she will ultimately support whoever the party base chooses as its nominee. She called on other party members to follow a similar path of cohesion. While acknowledging concerns expressed by Nikos Anastasiades regarding the potential return of AKEL-affiliated policies to power, she characterized any premature discussions concerning second-round political cooperation as ill-timed. She reiterated the party’s historical role in national reforms and stressed that the electorate currently demands consistency, efficiency, and optimism for the future.
