Cyprus weather forecast predicts rain, storms and temperature drop
Cyprus is bracing for a significant shift in weather conditions as a low-pressure system moves into the region from Greece. Starting from October 27, the island will experience increased cloud cover, with isolated rain and thunderstorms expected to develop across various regions, particularly in the north, the mountains, and inland areas. Atmospheric dust, currently present in the region, is expected to dissipate as the rainfall progresses.
Meteorologists have highlighted October 29 as a potentially critical day, with the possibility of more intense and prolonged weather phenomena, including the risk of hail. Temperatures are expected to drop noticeably by Friday, falling below seasonal averages. Andreas Chrysanthou, spokesperson for the Meteorological Department, has warned that the unstable weather may disrupt the student parades scheduled for October 28, especially during morning hours. Authorities are expected to issue weather warnings as the situation develops, and residents are advised to remain updated on the evolving forecasts as weather systems move across the island throughout the week.
