Babis Stokas criticizes Anna Vissi regarding conflict with Nikos Karvelas

On October 26, 2026, Greek singer Babis Stokas publicly addressed the ongoing reports regarding a rift between artists Anna Vissi and Nikos Karvelas. During an appearance on the Kontra Channel program 'Spotlight' with host Loukia Gatsou, Stokas expressed concerns over the public nature of the disagreement.

Stokas criticized Vissi’s handling of the situation, specifically labeling her behavior as arrogant toward both her collaborators and Nikos Karvelas. He emphasized that given their long-standing personal and professional history, the matter should not have escalated into a public confrontation. Stokas expressed his clear support for Karvelas, characterizing him as the aggrieved party in the relationship, and suggested that their connection transcends a typical dynamic between a performer and a composer.

This commentary adds to a wider public discussion in Greece regarding the private affairs of these two prominent figures. There is currently no indication of a formal resolution or public response from the parties involved, as the situation remains a topic of public discourse rather than a legal or formal professional dispute.
