NBG Business Seeds hosts investor visit at Cyprus University of Technology
On Thursday, October 8, 2026, the National Bank of Greece, through its NBG Business Seeds program, organized a visit for investment fund representatives to the Cyprus University of Technology (TEPAK) in Limassol. This initiative was part of a seminar titled "From Research to Market: Funding & Innovation Utilization," aimed at bridging the gap between academic research and the investment community.
During the visit, participants were given a guided tour of three specialized laboratories at the university. The primary focus of the event was to showcase the institution's ongoing research projects and explore the potential for commercializing innovative technologies developed within the university's ecosystem. The event highlights the bank's efforts to strengthen the research and innovation sector in Cyprus by facilitating direct interaction between researchers and potential financial backers.
The visit serves as a strategic move to foster entrepreneurship within the academic environment. By providing a platform for direct engagement, the organizers hope to accelerate the transition of laboratory-based breakthroughs into viable commercial products, effectively supporting the growth of the local innovation ecosystem.
