Prince William and Kate Middleton mark Mountain Rescue Awareness Day

On October 25, 2026, Prince William and Kate Middleton shared a previously unpublished family photograph to commemorate Mountain Rescue Awareness Day. The image features the Prince and Princess of Wales alongside their three children and members of mountain rescue teams, highlighting the couple's appreciation for volunteers who ensure safety in mountainous regions.

This tribute is linked to Kate Middleton's successful completion of the 'Three Peaks Challenge' last June. This demanding physical feat required the Princess to ascend the three highest peaks in England, Scotland, and Wales within a 24-hour period. The release of the photograph serves to draw public attention to the vital role of search and rescue operations in the United Kingdom.

The initiative was shared via the couple's official social media accounts, reflecting their ongoing support for outdoor safety organizations. No further official engagements regarding this specific campaign were announced following the photo's publication.
