Cyprus police officers complete training visit to Jordan
A delegation of 13 members of the Cyprus Police conducted an official training visit to Jordan from October 19 to 23, 2026. The mission was organized, designed, and coordinated by the International Cooperation Office of the Cyprus Police Academy as part of the 2021–2027 Multiannual Financial Program, aimed at fostering international partnerships and exchanging professional expertise.
The Cypriot delegation, led by a representative from the Police Academy's International Cooperation Office, was hosted by the Public Security Directorate (PSD) of Jordan. During the visit, participants engaged with various specialized units, including the Criminal Investigation Department, the Anti-Trafficking Unit, the Anti-Narcotics Department, the Border Security Department, and the Forensic Laboratory. The visit served as a platform for the officers to study Jordanian best practices in policing.
This initiative reflects the ongoing commitment of the Cyprus Police to professional development and the enhancement of skills required to address modern cross-border security challenges. By collaborating with international counterparts like the Jordanian PSD, the Cyprus Police seeks to stay informed of global policing standards and improve its operational effectiveness through shared knowledge and experience.
