Nicosia Municipality announces closures for October 28 holiday

The Nicosia Municipality has announced that all municipal offices and services will be closed on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, in observance of the national holiday. The closures also apply to the Saint Antonios Municipal Market, the Wholesale Market, the OXI Open Market, and the temporary Green Points located in Kaimakli and Agios Dometios.

Despite the closure of administrative and market services, essential waste management operations remain largely unaffected. Scheduled waste and recyclable materials collection in the municipal districts of Engomi and Agios Dometios will proceed as planned on Wednesday evening. Collection of municipal paper bags in the Aglantzia district will be delayed until Thursday, October 29, 2026, while in the Engomi and Agios Dometios districts, this specific collection service is rescheduled for Wednesday, November 4, 2026.
