Presentation of historical publication on Asia Minor and Cyprus refugees

The first volume of the two-volume historical work titled “Voices and Memories of Asia Minor and Cyprus. They Do Not Fade, They Are Not Forgotten” is scheduled for official presentation on Thursday, November 5, 2026. The event will take place at 7:30 p.m. at the “Archangelos” Ceremonial Hall of the Cultural Foundation of the Holy Monastery of Kykkos in Nicosia.

The project was researched, written, and edited by journalist and author Dr. Chrysanthos Chrysanthou, with production coordination by Stavros Papageorgiou and publishing handled by Tetraktys Films. The publication is supported by the “Anastasis and Efrosyni Tosounoglou” Educational and Charitable Foundation. Sponsor Anna Tosounoglou-Christofi dedicated the work to the memory of her parents and to all refugees from Asia Minor and Cyprus. The presentation will feature speeches from state and church representatives, as well as artistic performances by Christina Polykarpou and Symeon Merkouris.

Following the presentation of the research findings by Dr. Chrysanthou, the evening will conclude with a reception, and copies of the publication will be available for purchase at the venue. The initiative serves as a documentation of refugee history and experiences in the region.
