Cyprus residential property resales experience significant growth in Q3 2026
The secondary residential property market in Cyprus experienced a substantial shift in the third quarter of 2026, characterized by a sharp rise in house resales. According to a report by Landbank Analytics, which tracked 3,241 transactions between January and September 2026, the number of house resales more than doubled, jumping from 345 in the second quarter to 740 in the third, a 114.5 per cent increase. This growth significantly altered market composition, with houses now accounting for 47.3 per cent of residential resales.
Overall, the volume of residential resales rose by 50 per cent quarter-on-quarter, reaching 1,566 transactions in the third quarter compared to 1,044 in the second. The combined value of these transactions surged by 78 per cent, climbing from €212.80 million to €378.80 million during the same period. While apartment resales also saw an increase, rising by 18.2 per cent to 826 units, the accelerated demand for houses served as the primary driver of market expansion. In total, the cumulative value of all recorded apartment and house resales for the first nine months of 2026 reached €710.40 million, excluding land, offices, and off-plan properties.
