Apollon Limassol prepares for Paphos clash after historic win

Apollon Limassol is riding a wave of momentum following a dominant 5-0 victory over Karmiotissa in the Cypriot league. The highlight of the match was a hat-trick by Spanish forward Brandon Thomas, marking his first such performance since October 9, 2016, when he played for Mallorca. This result, combined with other league developments, has left Apollon as the only unbeaten team in the current championship, positioning them as a major contender for the title under manager Hernan Losada.

Looking ahead, the club is focusing on a critical match against Paphos FC at the Alphamega Stadium. The team enters this fixture with high confidence, having sold over 6,000 tickets as they aim to extend their lead in the standings. While the team remains unbeaten, they are currently working to balance their potent offense with greater defensive stability, having recorded only two clean sheets in their first seven matches. The status of player Gary Rodriguez remains under evaluation following physical discomfort, but morale in the camp is high as they seek their fourth consecutive victory.
