Apollon secures emphatic victory over Karmiotissa

On October 25, 2026, Apollon Limassol achieved a dominant 5-0 victory against Karmiotissa. The match was highlighted by an outstanding performance from Spanish forward Brandon Thomas, who scored a hat-trick, marking his first such achievement in ten years. His previous hat-trick occurred on October 9, 2016, while playing for Mallorca against Huesca.

Thomas, who initially struggled this season due to a suspension, has regained his form, having recently contributed to a previous match against Nea Salamina. The victory also saw Joel Asoro score his first goal for the club. Defensively, goalkeeper Kunn managed to keep a clean sheet for only the second time in the first seven matchdays. This result solidifies Apollon's upward trajectory in the league standings.

Following the completion of the seventh matchday and other league results, Apollon currently holds the distinction of being the only team in the championship that has not yet suffered a defeat. The club is now shifting its focus to preparations for an upcoming derby match against Pafos FC.
