Brandon Thomas scores first hat-trick in a decade for Apollon Limassol

Apollon Limassol secured an emphatic 5-0 victory against Karmiotissa on October 25, 2026, marking a standout performance by striker Brandon Thomas. The Spanish forward netted three goals in the 8th, 57th, and 81st minutes, marking his first hat-trick in exactly ten years and sixteen days. His previous career hat-trick occurred on October 9, 2016, while playing for Mallorca in a 3-0 win against Huesca.

This result highlights a significant return to form for Thomas, who struggled early in the season due to a suspension and a lack of match rhythm. Beyond his three goals, teammate Ozbolt also contributed to the scoreline, continuing his own consistent scoring streak, while Joel Asoro added another goal to the tally. The victory serves as a major morale booster for the team following a difficult start to the season.

Apollon is currently preparing for an upcoming match against Pafos FC this Saturday. The team is managing injury concerns, including a re-evaluation of Gary Rodriguez, who recently reported physical discomfort. Thomas’s recent resurgence is expected to provide the squad with improved attacking depth and effectiveness as they face stronger opponents in the coming weeks.
