Apollon and APOEL prepare for upcoming league matches

Apollon Limassol remains the only undefeated team in the Cyprus League after seven matchdays, currently sitting in second place with 15 points. Head coach Hernan Losada has maintained a highly productive attack, with 19 goals scored, led by contributors Brandon Thomas, Gari Rodriguez, and Alen Ozbolt. To prepare for the upcoming derby against Paphos FC, the coaching staff decided to keep key players Giorgos Malekkidis and Dani Esckriche eligible for the match despite their recent accumulation of yellow cards; they will instead serve their suspension in the following game against Olympiakos at GSP Stadium.

Simultaneously, APOEL is gaining momentum under coach Nikos Papadopoulos following a 4-1 victory against Omonia 29th of May and a cup win over Chalkoras. The team is currently five points behind league leader AEK and is preparing for an away game against Omonia Aradippou this Sunday. Defender Alvaro Carrillo remains a doubt for the upcoming match due to a muscle injury, with his participation dependent on the final medical assessments. APOEL holds a strong historical record against Aradippou and aims to continue this positive trend to improve their league standing.
