Apollon maintains unbeaten league status ahead of Paphos FC clash

Apollon Limassol remains the only unbeaten team in the Cyprus League after seven matchdays, currently sitting in second place with 15 points. Under head coach Hernan Losada, the team has achieved four victories and three draws, establishing the most productive attack in the league with 19 goals. Key contributors include Brandon Thomas, Gary Rodriguez, and Alen Ozbolt, who have collectively scored 12 of those goals. Goalkeeper Filip Kuhn and defender Leonidas Konomis have been identified as the most consistent players, playing nearly every available minute.

In preparation for the upcoming high-stakes match against Paphos FC, coach Losada has made a strategic decision regarding his squad. Players Giorgos Malekkidis and Dani Escriche, who are currently carrying a suspension due to an accumulation of yellow cards, will be available for the match against Paphos. Instead, they will serve their mandatory one-match ban in the subsequent fixture against Olympiakos at the GSP Stadium. This allows the team to field a full-strength lineup for the challenging encounter with Paphos FC as they seek to extend their unbeaten streak and narrow the one-point gap behind league leaders AEK.
