Pafos FC faces offensive struggles amid winless streak

Pafos FC is experiencing a significant performance decline, currently holding 12 points after seven matches in the domestic championship. The team has failed to secure a victory in its last four matches across all competitions, including a goalless draw against Nea Salamina. This offensive slump has resulted in only seven goals scored, marking the club's lowest scoring output at this stage of the season in seven years, despite maintaining a solid defensive record with only three goals conceded.

The team's struggles have prompted concerns among supporters and management, though club officials have publicly expressed continued confidence in head coach Ricardo Sa Pinto. During the recent draw against Nea Salamina, the club expressed frustration with the officiating, specifically regarding a denied penalty claim involving Mammadov, and indicated intentions to protest to the Cyprus Football Association. Midfielder Domingos Quina will serve his suspension during the upcoming match against Omonia 29M to ensure he is available for the immediate test.

Looking ahead, Pafos FC faces a critical period with two high-stakes encounters. The team is scheduled to play Apollon Limassol on October 31 and will subsequently travel to the Netherlands to face Twente in the UEFA Conference League on November 5. These fixtures are viewed as vital opportunities for the squad to regain momentum and address their current offensive instability.
