Olympiacos faces Marko in Superbet Greek Cup

Olympiacos, currently on a seven-match winning streak across all competitions without conceding a goal, faces Marko today, October 28, at 15:00 for the fourth matchday of the Superbet Greek Cup. The Piraeus side enters the game following five consecutive victories against Panathinaikos, Marseille, Panetolikos, Sparta Prague, and Kalamata. They aim to secure a third straight win in the tournament to advance to the quarterfinals.

Manager Imanol Alguacil is expected to rotate his squad, providing rest to key players and opportunities to others. The lineup will likely feature Popovic in goal, Smailovic and Carmo as center-backs, and defensive support from Koutsogoulas and Bruno. The team also plans to integrate younger players into the rotation for this fixture.

Marko, led by Soulis Papadopoulos, currently leads the Superbet League 2 standings and enters the match with high morale after a recent 4-0 win against Panionios. Despite their strong league performance, they have faced challenges in the Cup, recording a 2-2 draw against Kifisia and a 1-0 loss to Aris. The outcome of this match will be a critical step for Olympiacos in their goal of qualifying directly for the knockout phase of the competition.
