Kiko experiencing a career-best season with Anorthosis

Portuguese left-back Kiko, aged 33, is currently performing at the peak of his professional career during his fifth season with the Cypriot football club Anorthosis. Having arrived in Cyprus in the summer of 2019 to play for Olympiakos Nicosia, he later progressed through Omonia before establishing himself as a key leader for the Anorthosis squad. As of late October 2026, he has become the team's most pivotal attacking asset, participating in four goals—two goals and two assists—across seven league appearances.

Kiko currently holds the record for the most crosses in the league and remains the only player on his team to have played every minute of the current campaign. Having recently surpassed the milestone of 100 appearances for Anorthosis, he is now ranked among the top seven foreign players in the club's history in terms of total matches played.
