Cyprus League concludes eighth round with three decisive matches

The eighth round of the Cyprus League by Stoiximan concludes today, November 1, 2026, with three fixtures. Following Omonia's 2-0 victory over AEL in yesterday's derby, the league schedule continues with Omonia 29M hosting Nea Salamina at 17:00, followed by Aris Limassol playing Anorthosis at 18:00. The final match of the day features Omonia Aradippou facing APOEL at 19:00 at the AEK Arena.

APOEL enters the match against Omonia Aradippou aiming for their third consecutive victory across all competitions, having recently defeated Omonia 29M (4-1) and Chalkanoras (5-2). Manager Nikos Papadopoulos welcomes back players Sastre and Stafylidis, and notably included Alvaro Carillo in the 24-man squad despite earlier injury concerns. Meanwhile, Omonia Aradippou seeks to rebound from a three-match losing streak in the league, relying on the momentum of their recent 6-3 cup win over Digenis Morphou.

Omonia 29M, coming off a heavy defeat, looks to secure points at home against a Nea Salamina side that recently drew with Pafos FC. These matches are critical for the standings as teams jockey for position, with APOEL specifically looking to close the gap to the current league leaders.
