Tsimikas: What happened before the missed penalty against Chelsea

Liverpool advanced to the next round of the Carabao Cup after defeating Chelsea 6-5 on penalties following a 1-1 draw. During the shootout, Greek defender Kostas Tsimikas missed his spot-kick, sending the ball high over the bar. Viral social media footage showed Tsimikas preparing for the penalty by juggling the ball and interacting with the goalkeeper before his unsuccessful strike. Tsimikas later admitted that it was not his best effort, though the miss did not prevent Liverpool from securing the win.
