APOEL announces centennial anniversary celebrations in Nicosia

The APOEL sports organization has announced a two-day celebration schedule to mark the club's 100th anniversary. Festivities are set to begin on November 7, 2026, at 18:00, starting at the historic site of the former Hatzioannou confectionery on Ledra Street, where the club was founded a century ago.

The event will feature a speech by the club president, Dr. Schizas, followed by a ceremonial torch relay involving current sports departments and veteran athletes. The procession will traverse several locations historically significant to the club, ultimately arriving at the official clubhouse. Following the relay, at approximately 19:30, the club plans to hold a formal reopening of its premises. The 'Orange' supporters' group is actively involved in organizing these events to commemorate this milestone for the Nicosia-based organization and to rally the fan base for upcoming centennial activities.
