Apollon hosts Pafos FC in highly anticipated Cyprus League clash

Apollon Limassol faces Pafos FC today, October 31, at 17:00 at the Alphamega Stadium in the 8th round of the Cyprus League. Aiming for a fourth consecutive victory, Apollon currently sits with 15 points and hopes to climb toward the top of the standings. The team, coached by Hernan Losada, will be without Gary Rodrigues due to injury, while Andreou and Spoljaric are also unavailable. Asunciao and Veissbeck, however, return to the squad.

Management has issued a strict warning to fans, emphasizing a zero-tolerance policy regarding racism or aggressive behavior. Officials noted that the club is under probation, and any individual incident of misconduct, such as slogans or offensive gestures, could lead to severe disciplinary, financial, and sporting penalties. Security will conduct strict checks at the stadium entrances starting at 15:30 to ensure safety.

This match serves as a symbolic rematch following the controversial 2-0 defeat Apollon suffered against Pafos in the Cup final on May 29, 2026, which was marked by six red cards. Apollon's management and staff are prioritizing discipline to ensure the team can continue its successful run without further sanctions from the authorities.
