Cyprus Allwyn handball leagues begin second matchday after postponement

The Allwyn men's and women's first division handball championships in Cyprus will officially commence their season on October 31 and November 1, 2026. This follows the postponement of the originally scheduled opening round of the competition. The leagues are now moving into full rhythm with a series of significant matches across various venues in the country.

In the men's division, the schedule for Saturday, October 31, includes three matches: AO KN Ag. Trimithias against ALS Omonoia 29M at Glafkos Kliridis stadium, TMS Apollon versus European University at Apollon Arena, and Proodeftikos playing Parnassos at the Aphrodite stadium in Paphos. The round concludes on Sunday, November 1, with defending champions Sabbianco Anorthosis facing the newly promoted SPE Strov. A.S. Pal. Elp. Str. at ATI.

The women's division also features a busy weekend, with Ladies Handball Strovolou playing AO Aradippou and E.N. Athienou facing Mavrommatis Ag. Pavlou on Saturday. The final women's match between CyView Latsia and APOEL KN Ag. Trimithias is scheduled for Sunday. These matches mark the beginning of the competitive cycle for all participating teams after the initial delay of the season.
