Celine Dion makes successful musical comeback in Paris
Celine Dion has marked a major return to the music stage with a series of 16 concerts in Paris, signaling a comeback three years after her hiatus caused by a diagnosis of stiff-person syndrome. The performances, held during September and October at the Plenitude Arena (formerly La Defense Arena), attracted 539,000 spectators.
The residency generated total earnings of $125.5 million, with an average of $7.8 million per night. This financial achievement surpasses previous records, including the U2 residency at the Sphere, which averaged $6.1 million per show. Dion's current earnings per night are also more than ten times higher than the averages recorded during her previous concert residencies in Las Vegas.
Following the success of this initial phase, the singer is scheduled to return to Paris next year for 10 additional performances, running from May 8 to May 29, 2027.
