Limassol Chamber of Commerce demands answers on Pentakomo Technology Park delays
The Limassol Chamber of Commerce and Industry (EVEL) has expressed strong dissatisfaction and concern regarding the prolonged stagnation of the Pentakomo Science and Technology Park project. The Chamber criticizes the relevant government authorities for a lack of transparency and failure to provide updates on the status of the development, which is considered a strategic priority for both the Limassol region and the national economy of Cyprus.
Despite the formal deadline for the submission of applications for a strategic investor ending on January 28, 2026, nine months have passed without any official announcement from the government. The Chamber emphasizes that this lack of information creates uncertainty regarding the project's future, as stakeholders remain in the dark about whether a successful candidate was identified or if the process hit an impasse.
EVEL is now demanding immediate clarity and a concrete timeline from the responsible Ministry to ensure that the project, which is intended to boost local technological growth, moves from the planning stage to actual implementation. The organization warns that further silence from state services undermines the credibility of the strategic planning process.
