Alexis Garpozis signals upcoming changes after Karmiotissa win

On October 30, 2026, Karmiotissa secured their first victory of the season by defeating Olympiakos with a score of 1-0. Despite the crucial win, Karmiotissa head coach Alexis Garpozis expressed significant dissatisfaction with his team's performance, openly admitting that his side did not deserve the three points as Olympiakos played better for the majority of the match.

Garpozis highlighted that while the result is vital for the team's psychology, there are internal issues affecting the squad. He noted that although the players are giving their best, the team lacks concentration for reasons he chose to keep private. The coach stated that he intends to take "harsh decisions" to address these problems and plans to resolve them in consultation with the club's president and board of directors in the coming days.

This victory serves as a turning point for Karmiotissa, which had struggled in previous fixtures. Garpozis remains optimistic that the team will improve over time, but the immediate focus shifts to internal management and structural adjustments to stabilize the club's performance for the remainder of the season.
