Radio Marathon 2026 highlights social inclusion and unity in Cyprus

The 2026 Radio Marathon, themed 'The Power of Love,' reached its peak on November 2 and 3, 2026, across Cyprus. The 48-hour event, organized by the Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation (CyBC) and ERB Cyprus Insurance Holdings, aims to promote social inclusion and support for children. Events included a live 48-hour broadcast on the Third Program, a national road campaign featuring 14 collection kiosks, and a volunteer walk ending at the CyBC gardens.

On November 2, state and political leaders, including First Lady Philippa Karsera Christodoulidi, House President Annita Demetriou, and Interior Minister Konstantinos Ioannou, visited a collection kiosk on Stavrou Avenue in Nicosia to show support. Corporate entities like EKO also contributed by donating proceeds from car washes at five specific stations across the country.

The initiative serves as a platform for fundraising and public awareness regarding equal rights for all children. The marathon, which also featured a charity futsal tournament held earlier at Nuevo Campo in Nicosia, continues its fundraising efforts through mobile donation boxes and live television coverage on CyBC 1, with final events concluding late on November 3.
