Stevan Jovetic ruled out of AEL Limassol's starting lineup against Omonia

Montenegrin striker Stevan Jovetic was a last-minute withdrawal from the AEL Limassol starting eleven for the match against Omonia on October 31, 2026. The change occurred shortly before kickoff after the player reported physical discomfort during the warm-up session.

In response to this late tactical adjustment, AEL coach Hugo Martins decided to move Jovetic to the bench and insert Chinedu Geoffrey into the starting lineup. While AlphaNews reported that Jovetic would not participate in the match at all against his former team, other sources focused on his removal from the starting XI. No further information regarding the severity of his injury or his future availability was provided at the time of reporting.
