Classical music concerts featuring Diana Tishchenko in Cyprus

Violinist Diana Tishchenko is scheduled to perform two classical music concerts in Cyprus in November 2026. The performances will take place at the Strovolos Municipal Theatre in Nicosia on Thursday, 19 November, and at the Pattihio Municipal Theatre in Limassol on Friday, 20 November, both starting at 20:30.

The programme features works by Samuel Barber, including his Adagio for Strings and Violin Concerto, alongside Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 5. Tishchenko, recognized for her expressive performances, is a Grand Prix winner of the Long-Thibaud-Crespin International Competition in Paris and has been awarded the title of Chevalier of the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres by the French Ministry of Culture.

These concerts highlight the technical and emotional depth of the selected compositions. The Violin Concerto by Barber is noted for its lyrical elegance and a demanding, energetic finale, while Tchaikovsky's Fifth Symphony serves as a cornerstone of the repertoire. The events are organized to showcase both the soloist’s renowned individual voice and the emotional power of the orchestral pieces.
