Konstantinos Georgiou and Rafail Zachariadis to contest NEDISY presidency

Current Deputy President of the Youth of the Democratic Rally (NEDISY), Konstantinos Georgiou, has announced his candidacy for the organization's presidency. Following the formal approval of candidacies by the Election Committee, it has been confirmed that the contest for the leadership position will be between Georgiou and Rafail Zachariadis. The election is scheduled to take place during the Pancyprian Electoral Assembly on Saturday, November 21, 2026.

Georgiou’s platform centers on addressing the internal decline of the organization, acknowledging his own share of responsibility for past shortcomings. He advocates for structural changes to reconnect the youth wing with society, emphasizing issues such as housing, employment, education, and youth entrepreneurship.
