Second round of Allwyn Handball championships concludes with notable matches

The second round of the 2026-2027 Allwyn Men’s and Women’s Handball championships took place on November 2, 2026, following the postponement of the season opener. The men’s competition featured a high-stakes draw between reigning champions Sabbianco Anorthosis and newcomers SPE Strovolou, ending 26-26 after a final-second penalty conversion by the Strovolou side. Other men’s results included European University defeating TMS Apollon Limassol 38-29, ALS Omonia 29th May winning 31-21 against AO K.N. Ag. Trimithias, and Parnassos securing a 35-20 victory over Proodeftikos.

In the women’s division, APOEL K.N. Ag. Trimithias achieved a narrow 27-26 comeback victory against CyView Latsia, trailing 15-13 at halftime before mounting a successful second-half rally. Furthermore, Ladies Handball Strovolou dominated AO Aradippou with a score of 44-10, while E.N. Athienou defeated Mavrommatis Ag. Pavlou 28-17. These matches mark the official beginning of the competitive season, establishing early momentum for the participating clubs as they move forward in the league table.
