Lazio climbs to the top of Serie A following victory over Venezia

Lazio, featuring Greek goalkeeper Christos Mandas, achieved a significant 2-1 victory over Venezia on November 1, 2026, to move into first place in the Italian Serie A standings. Despite an early deficit, the Rome-based club mounted a second-half comeback to secure all three points, solidifying their position at the summit of the league table.

The current campaign has been marked by a strong winning streak for the team. Mandas has played a pivotal role in these results, providing notable defensive stability that has helped the club maintain its momentum. This performance represents a historic run for both the player and the organization as they establish themselves as the primary contenders in the championship race.

Following this win, Lazio now sits as the sole leader in Serie A. The club continues to build on its recent successes, with both the team and Mandas gaining significant attention for their consistency and defensive improvements throughout the season.
