APOEL prepares for centenary celebrations during match against Aris Limassol

APOEL Nicosia is set to commemorate its 100th anniversary on Sunday, November 8, 2026, during a Cyprus League match against Aris Limassol at the GSP Stadium. The match has drawn massive interest from the club's fan base, leading to the rapid exhaustion of tickets for the South stand, the lower tier of the West stand, and the East stand. Over 9,500 season ticket holders are already confirmed to attend, while tickets for visiting fans from Aris have been allocated for the North stand.

Following the final whistle, the club has organized a spectacular celebratory event featuring an award ceremony for legendary figures, including former coach Ivan Jovanovic, who famously led the team to the Champions League quarter-finals. The program also includes a drone show with 500 units, pyrotechnics, and a performance of the club's anthem. Players are currently preparing under the guidance of coach Nikos Papadopoulos, with only the suspended Sastre unavailable for selection. There is also potential for striker Pieros Sotiriou to be included in the matchday squad as he recovers from injury. Supporters are encouraged to remain in their seats after the match concludes for the official centenary festivities.
