Alen Ozbolt and Brandon Thomas lead Apollon's attacking surge
Apollon Limassol’s attacking duo, Alen Ozbolt and Brandon Thomas, have emerged as the team's key offensive players following strong performances in recent league matches, including a notable performance against Pafos FC. Slovenian forward Ozbolt, signed to replace Pedro Marques, has been highly effective, scoring seven goals in ten appearances across all competitions, including his 101st career goal in the match against Pafos. Meanwhile, Spanish midfielder Brandon Thomas has scored five goals in six league appearances this season, including four goals in the last two matches against Karmiotissa and Pafos.
Under coach Hernan Losada, the team’s offensive output has surged, with the pair contributing eight goals and three assists in the last three games alone, helping the club maintain an unbeaten run. Despite their current success, reports indicate that Apollon management intends to pursue another forward during the January transfer window to further strengthen the roster. Coach Losada is currently evaluating his tactical options, including potentially shifting Thomas to the central striker position should the team require additional support for Ozbolt in future challenges.
