52-year-old man arrested in Attica for possession of child sexual abuse material

Greek police authorities in Attica arrested a 52-year-old man on the morning of Friday, October 30, 2026, on charges of possession of child sexual abuse material. The arrest was the result of an operation conducted by the Sub-Directorate for the Protection of Minors of the Attica General Police Directorate (GADA), which focused on investigating offenses against the sexual integrity and dignity of minors.

During a search of the suspect's residence, authorities discovered a digital folder containing over 3,900 files of child pornography. The evidence revealed that some of the materials depicted children as young as 12 years old. In addition to the digital evidence seized, police confiscated 3,555 euros in cash. The suspect has been processed and brought before the competent public prosecutor to face criminal charges.
