Omonia faces Nijmegen in the Europa League fourth round

Omonia Nicosia travels to the Netherlands to face NEC Nijmegen on Thursday, November 5, 2026, at 19:45, in the fourth round of the Europa League League Phase. The Cypriot team, coached by Henning Berg, aims for a positive result to improve their standing in the competition. The mission arrived via Weeze Airport in Germany before traveling by road to Nijmegen, with approximately 600 traveling fans expected to support the team at the Goffertstadion.

The squad includes 21 players, but faces significant absences due to injuries and registration rules. Specifically, Jure Balkovec, Nego, Christou, Aiting, Viktoros, Akintola, and Odubajo are out of the lineup. While Omonia has historically struggled on Dutch soil, having lost all three previous away matches in the Netherlands, they look to build on their recent domestic form and their away victory against Celje in the competition. The team will return to Cyprus on Friday, November 6.
