Miracle Babies association launches digital app for parents of premature infants
On November 4, 2026, the 'Miracle Babies' association presented a new mobile application titled 'Miracle Babies Parent Diary' during a press conference held at the Pilakoutas Group BMW showroom. This digital tool, provided free of charge, aims to support parents of premature infants from the initial days of hospital care through long-term developmental stages, allowing them to record health progress and manage information in a secure, unified environment.
The event, marking World Prematurity Month 2026, was attended by Speaker of the House Annita Demetriou and Minister of Health Neofytos Charalampidis. Association President Elena Megalemou Triantafyllidi emphasized that the care for premature infants must extend well beyond their discharge from the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The initiative focuses on the necessity of organized medical, developmental, and psychosocial monitoring to improve long-term outcomes for children.
The association's primary goal is to ensure that parents have reliable resources for tracking development. By facilitating systematic monitoring, the organization hopes to foster better futures for premature infants, highlighting that medical intervention should be a continuous process rather than ending when the child leaves the hospital.
