Ceramics workshop to conclude museum event series in Cyprus

On November 15, 2026, the Bank of Cyprus Cultural Foundation will host a ceramics workshop titled "From Ancient Artefacts to Contemporary Creation" at the Georgios and Nefeli Tziapra Pierides Archaeological Museum. This event marks the conclusion of the "Moments at the Museum 26" series, organized in collaboration with the Cyprus Association of Potters and Ceramists.

The workshop will feature five specialized artisans, including a wheel-throwing expert, a sculptor, two clay modellers, and an expert in ancient kilns and vase moulds. The program begins at 11:00 with a guided tour of the museum, where attendees will observe historical artefacts to draw inspiration for their own projects. Following the tour, participants will transition to a specially equipped education room to engage in hands-on creative work across three different workstations. The initiative aims to highlight the historical significance of clay as a medium for cultural memory.
