Registration for the 2027 Limassol Carnival parade opens in November

The Municipality of Limassol has announced that registration for the 2027 Grand Carnival Parade will begin on Tuesday, November 17, 2026. Interested groups of pedestrians and float owners must visit the Cultural Services offices at 253 Agiou Andreou Street in person to complete the mandatory application forms. Online or telephone registrations will not be accepted. The deadline for submitting applications is Friday, December 18, 2026, at 1:00 p.m.

Priority for registration is given based on past compliance with event regulations. On November 17, only participants from the 2026 parade who followed all rules are eligible to register. New participants and those who violated regulations in the previous year may register starting from Wednesday, November 18. Authorities have implemented stricter rules regarding attire, explicitly banning costumes consisting merely of simple athletic shorts and shirts to ensure the event's standard.

Preparations for the festivities are well underway, with the city already having selected Spyros Matsoukos as the Carnival King for 2027. The carnival events are scheduled to take place from March 4 to March 14, 2027, maintaining the city's long-standing cultural tradition.
