NGO 'Paidiki Chara' accused of large-scale financial fraud
The non-governmental organization 'Paidiki Chara' is facing serious allegations of financial exploitation involving families of children with severe health issues. Panagiotis Theodoridis, a father of a child named Christos-Georgios, reported that the NGO raised 75,000 euros in his son's name but failed to distribute any of these funds to the family despite repeated requests. The organization’s vice-president had originally initiated the fundraising effort after approaching the father at his place of work.
Further reports indicate that the NGO, led by 37-year-old Konstantinos Firinidis, has allegedly been deceiving families, donors, and the public for eight years. Leaked audio recordings depict Firinidis using aggressive and abusive language toward donors to secure immediate payments, while reports suggest the collected funds were diverted to finance a luxury lifestyle and gambling. The scope of the scandal has shocked the public, exposing a systemic pattern of abuse directed at those seeking aid for vulnerable children.
