Actor Kostas Kazakas reflects on his career move to Greece

On Wednesday, November 4, 2026, actor Kostas Kazakas appeared as a guest on the cooking show 'POP Mageiriki', hosted by Andreas Lagos. During the episode, the actor discussed his professional journey and his decision to move from Cyprus to Greece to pursue new career opportunities.

Kazakas explained that the turning point in his life was the offer to play a role in the successful theatrical production 'Sympetheroi apo ta Tirana'. He credited actress Elisavet Konstantinidou for introducing him to the creators of the play, Michalis Reppas and Thanasis Papathanasiou. Accepting this role required a major life transition, including moving to Athens. The actor noted that a particularly difficult part of this decision was selling his home, which he described as a beautiful listed building dating back to 1987, as he had to relocate his entire life.

The move marks a significant shift in the career and personal life of the actor, who had established his professional foundation in Cyprus prior to this transition. By choosing to move to Greece, Kazakas embraced the challenges associated with relaunching his career in a new environment, effectively closing a chapter in his life in Cyprus to embrace new professional horizons in Athens.
