Cyprus HRDA unveils 2027 strategic budget of 59.3 million euros
The Human Resource Development Authority of Cyprus (AnAD) has submitted its 2027 strategic budget to the parliament, outlining an allocation of 59.3 million euros for workforce development programs. This total represents approximately 80 percent of the organization’s overall expenditures and follows a 62.8 million euro budget recorded in 2026.
The funds are designated for 20 specialized initiatives focusing on digital skills, professional certification systems, and the integration of unemployed and economically inactive individuals into the labor market. Specifically, 43.54 million euros are earmarked for the lifelong learning of current employees, while 12.98 million euros will support the employment of job seekers. AnAD anticipates that over 116,000 individuals will participate in these training programs and development activities throughout 2027.
These initiatives aim to boost productivity and labor market participation across Cyprus. The programs are designed to assist both the workforce and those currently outside the labor market, reflecting the authority’s continued commitment to skill acquisition and professional qualification standards.
