Ninety candidates sit for estate agent registration exams in Cyprus
On October 30, 2026, the Cyprus Real Estate Agents Registration Council held written examinations for 90 candidates seeking to enter the property profession. The event was highlighted by council president Marinos Kineyirou as evidence of the sector's continued appeal and professional growth prospects in the current market.
The examinations are mandated by legislation to ensure that all new agents possess comprehensive knowledge of Cyprus’ property and town planning laws. According to Kineyirou, this regulatory process is essential for maintaining professional standards and safeguarding the rights and interests of both buyers and sellers involved in property transactions. By requiring these standards, the council aims to promote responsible conduct across the industry.
Following the completion of the assessment, the results will be reviewed and published by the council. Successful candidates will be informed directly regarding the status of their registration to practice as professional estate agents in the Republic of Cyprus.
