Four suspects sent to trial for Limassol home robbery
On Thursday, November 5, 2026, four individuals of Syrian descent were referred to the Limassol Criminal Court for their involvement in an armed robbery at a residence in Sfalangiotissa. The incident occurred during the early hours of October 8, when the perpetrators entered the home and held a couple captive for 39 minutes. According to investigators, the victims were restrained with duct tape and plastic ties, and were threatened with knives rather than a pistol, as initially reported. The robbers successfully stole cash and gold, including 110 pieces of jewelry, with a total estimated value of 327,000 euros.
Legal proceedings are set to begin with a hearing on December 16, during which prosecutors will request that the four suspects remain in custody. Investigations revealed that one of the accused, a 29-year-old, had previously performed door installation work at the victims' residence. Of the six people identified as involved, two are expected to testify for the prosecution. Meanwhile, authorities are still searching for three additional suspects linked to the case. The charges against the four include robbery, conspiracy to commit a felony, burglary, possession of weapons, and money laundering.
