Scheduled road maintenance and closures in Nicosia and highway network

Road maintenance work is currently underway across key areas in Nicosia and the Limassol-Nicosia highway. From November 10 to November 18, 2026, the Nicosia Municipality will conduct overnight asphalt resurfacing works between 21:00 and 06:00. Affected routes include Michalakis Karaolis Street on November 10, Grivas Digenis Avenue on November 11 and 12, and Spyros Kyprianou Avenue on November 16. Drivers are advised to follow local traffic signage and police instructions during these closures.

Simultaneously, the Forestry Department is performing maintenance on the Limassol-Nicosia highway. Watering of vegetation is scheduled weekdays from 08:30 to 14:30 until November 30, affecting sections between the GSP roundabout and the Nicosia-Larnaca junction, with partial lane closures of approximately 300 meters. Additionally, horizontal road marking works are ongoing on the same highway between the Skarinou junction and the Nicosia entrance, taking place from 21:00 to 05:00 on weekdays through November 26, 2026, excluding Fridays. These operations are conducted in sections to minimize traffic disruption.
