Widespread road construction and maintenance works scheduled across Cyprus

Major road maintenance and construction projects are scheduled across Cyprus throughout November 2026. In Nicosia, the municipality will conduct overnight resurfacing works between November 10 and 18, closing key arteries including Michalakis Karaolis Street and segments of Grivas Digenis and Spyros Kyprianou Avenues from 21:00 to 06:00. Meanwhile, the Paphos-Limassol motorway tunnel will undergo maintenance from November 9–13 and November 16–20, requiring traffic to flow in both directions through the open tunnel between 08:00 and 19:00.

Additional disruptions include ongoing irrigation maintenance on the Limassol-Nicosia highway until November 30, and the replacement of information signs on the Xylofagou-Ayia Napa motorway starting November 9 through December 31. Additionally, the Municipality of Limassol has announced pavement maintenance on Riga Feraiou Street for November 7 and 8. Authorities advise drivers to remain cautious, adhere to temporary road markings, and follow police instructions to ensure safety during these periods.
