Pasy-dixe condemns sexual abuse of two minors in Paphos
The Pancyprian Association of Hotel Managers (PASYDIXE) has issued a formal condemnation regarding the sexual abuse of two underage British visitors, a case for which the Paphos Permanent Criminal Court recently issued a conviction. The association described these actions as abhorrent and an affront to both human dignity and the values of Cypriot hospitality, expressing its full support for the victims involved in the incident.
In a clarifying statement, the association emphasized that the individual convicted of these crimes is neither a hotel manager nor a member of PASYDIXE, although he was employed within the local tourism sector. By making this distinction, the organization sought to prevent public confusion regarding the perpetrator's professional identity.
Following the court's decision, PASYDIXE announced that it intends to intensify its internal efforts to prevent the recurrence of such incidents. The association pledged to promote greater awareness, professional accountability, and the protection of guest safety, noting that ensuring the physical and mental integrity of all visitors, especially minors, remains a non-negotiable obligation for the industry.
