AEK Larnaca faces Karmiotissa in the ninth round of the Cyprus League

AEK Larnaca hosts Karmiotissa today at the AEK Arena for the ninth round of the Cyprus League by Stoiximan, with kickoff scheduled for 19:00. Following a 2-2 draw in their previous match against Krasava ENY, the home side is under pressure to return to winning ways and maintain their position at the top of the league table before the upcoming international break.

Coach Ruben Selles has made tactical adjustments for this encounter, reportedly considering a return to a four-man defensive line. The team will be without the injured Gian Repas, who is expected to be sidelined for four weeks following a collarbone injury sustained in training. Conversely, Anderengen and Ivanovic have returned to the squad, providing additional offensive options for the team. Defender Miramon is unavailable due to physical discomfort identified during the final training session.

On the opposing side, Karmiotissa travels to Larnaca with improved morale following their first league win against Olympiakos and success in the domestic cup. Coach Alexis Garpozis aims to secure points to distance his team from the relegation zone. The match officials include Andreas Tehrany as the referee, with Andreas Tsampalas overseeing the VAR operations.
