Two 15-year-olds arrested in Paphos for motorcycle theft
On the morning of Wednesday, November 4, 2026, police in Paphos arrested two 15-year-old individuals on suspicion of motorcycle theft. The incident occurred outside a primary school, where an officer on duty noticed two motorcycles parked without registration plates and displaying visible signs of damage. When the two teenagers returned to the vehicles and attempted to depart, they were intercepted by the officer. Upon failing to provide a legitimate explanation for their possession of the motorcycles, they were initially arrested for the offense of illegal possession of property.
Subsequent investigations revealed that the motorcycles had been stolen recently from a company in Paphos. Following the initial detention, both suspects were re-arrested under judicial warrants for charges including conspiracy to commit a felony, theft, and malicious damage. On Thursday, November 5, the two minors were brought before the Paphos District Court, where a four-day detention order was issued against them to facilitate further investigation into the case. The police continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the theft and the extent of the damage caused to the recovered vehicles.
