Mjallby will not exercise purchase option for Ali Youssef from Apollon
Swedish football club Mjallby has decided not to exercise the purchase option for 26-year-old Tunisian forward Ali Youssef, who is currently on loan from the Cypriot club Apollon. According to reports from 'fotbollskanalen.se', the primary reason for this decision is financial. During his loan spell, Youssef made 16 appearances and scored one goal, but failed to secure a permanent position in the Swedish team's starting lineup.
Youssef's loan agreement with Mjallby is set to expire in one month, while his contract with Apollon remains valid until May 2027. Despite his limited impact at Mjallby, the player is reportedly attracting interest from other Swedish clubs, specifically Malmo and IFK Goteborg, as noted by 'africafoot'.
As the loan period nears its conclusion, Youssef is expected to return to Apollon unless a new agreement with one of the interested clubs is reached. The player's future remains uncertain as he prepares to transition from his current stint in Sweden back to the Cypriot side.
